What are the 5 Basic Drip Tip Materials that Can Meet Your Vaping Needs?

Aluminum Drip Tips Marble Material Plastic Pyrex Glass Teflon Vaping

Once you have selected the right box mod, the perfect Highbrow Vapor e-liquid, and the most reliable tank, it is time to select your drip tip.  To the surprise of many new vapers, there is an enormous variety of drip tips available that each impact your vaping experience in a completely unique way.

Which Drip Tip Material Should I Use?

Before we get into that, for anyone who doesn’t know, the drip tip is the mouthpiece of a tank, and you’d be surprised by what a difference it can make.  For instance, wider drip tips are better equipped for high density vapor production, while narrower drip tips are best to handle concentrated flavor.

Now, there are several different materials from which drip tips are made.  Each material has its own unique advantages and disadvantages.  By following our guide, you will be able to decide which type of drip tip best suits your vaping needs.

Teflon is a popular material because of its relative sturdiness as well as its affordability. Best-known for giving pots and pans their non-stick surfaces, Teflon is a plastic that is decent at transferring heat.  For this reason, many sub-ohm vapers prefer to use Teflon drip tips.  It keeps the lips feeling comfortable while vaping at high wattage levels. It's also known for its velvety mouthfeel.  However, Teflon drip tips are not as durable as other materials.  If you want a drip tip that will last, you may want to choose a different material.

Marble drip tips are considered uniquely luxurious.  After all, they are gorgeous to look at.  Marble is also exceptionally good at resisting heat, making it another great option for sub-ohm vapers.  On the flip side, marble drip tips are not exactly cheap, and they even tend to get cracked or chipped if you mishandle your tank.  If this type of drip tip does crack or chip, it must be replaced immediately.

Are you the type of vaper who is trying to save some money?  If so, you may want to invest in a plastic drip tip.  These days, there are many different plastic materials used to make drip tips.  They are all relatively inexpensive.  A drawback to using a plastic drip tip, however, is that it can melt if your device is at extremely high output levels.  Also, certain cheaper plastic materials require a lot of maintenance as they are prone to getting dirty.

Pyrex Glass

Pyrex glass drip tips are becoming more popular these days. Many vapers purchase Pyrex glass drip tips that come in unique colors and patterns to add to the aesthetic of their vaping setup.  Glass in general, of course, is extremely fragile, meaning that if you are prone to dropping your device, it is best to stay away.

Aluminum is another immensely popular drip tip option.  This material is extremely durable, meaning that it will last for an exceedingly long time.  When you use an aluminum drip tip, you don't have to worry about breaking it if you drop your device.  It is important to remember, however, that aluminum drip tips get extremely hot if you're vaping at high output levels and they have to be cleaned more frequently due to accumulating more gunk.
