Your 5 Vaping Senses at Work

It goes without saying that we all judge our vaping experience by the way that our e-liquid tastes. However, seasoned vapers know that each of their senses play a crucial part when it comes to determining the quality of their vape. From the sound that your tank makes to the way that the mouthpiece feels against your lips, each sense requires attention.

Taste

Taste is the most obvious sense involved in the vaping experience. Many of us spend a good deal of money on high-quality e-liquids that taste delicious. This means that if the flavor is off, we know that something is wrong.

Your e-juice should always taste clean and fresh when you vape. If you're vaping a high-quality juice, you should notice a variety of flavor notes. If it has a burnt taste, you probably need to change your coil or lower your wattage setting. If there’s a stale taste, it may be time to purchase a new bottle.

Smell

High-quality e-juice should give off a pleasant aroma that fills the air as you blow clouds. We all know that taste and smell are closely associated. If a juice tastes good, it should smell good as well. Therefore, many vapers recommend smelling your bottle of e-liquid before filling your tank.

If there’s a stale or extremely faint aroma, you should probably opt for another bottle or a completely new juice instead. Typically, low-quality juices won't have that rich, complex aroma that you want.

Sound

When you're vaping, there are certain sounds to listen for. Whenever you take a pull, you should hear a very soft, even hissing sound. If you notice popping noises or strange crackling sounds, there's a good chance that the coil needs to be changed or that the MOD's wattage is set too high.

Typically, a crackling or popping tank will spit hot e-liquid into your mouth when pulling. This sensation is anything but pleasant. To prevent this from happening, fire your unit without putting the mouthpiece against your mouth. If you hear any unusual sounds, make sure that all its components are working properly before vaping.

Sight

Using your sense of vision while you vape is important. Your eyes allow you to monitor the amount of liquid that's left in your tank. You also need your sight to adjust different settings on your mod.

Your sight can also help you troubleshoot a problem quickly. For example, if you see that your tank is full of air bubbles, you can fix the issue before experiencing that dreaded spitback. If your battery is running low, you can clearly see it on the display screen of your device (if the device comes with an OLED screen).

Touch

Our sense of touch is another important aspect of the vaping experience. For example, if your device feels hot in your hand, you know that your battery is overheating and that it's time to take a break from the vape session for a while. On a similar note, we use our sense of touch to determine whether our mouthpiece is getting too hot and then take the proper steps to fix the issue if it is that way.

Have Some Sense

By paying attention to your five senses while you vape, you'll be able to ensure that you experience the most vaping pleasure possible.
