If you’ve been vaping for a while, you know that no matter how much we take the time to maintain our setups, accidents happen. And, once in a while, there may be a good reason to want to move our e-liquid from one tank to another. The question is, is it really okay to transfer juice between tanks? Well, today, we’ll be answering that question.
Reasons for Wanting to Transfer Vape Juice Between Tanks
So, why would someone want to transfer vape juice from one tank to another? Well, the most common reason is because something has gone wrong with the vaping device’s ability to connect properly to the tank that’s being used. We know that connection issues happen once in a while, and that’s why it’s always good to have a backup tank handy. Another reason why someone may want to do this is because their tank has cracked and is leaking.
How to Go About Transferring E-Liquid Properly
So, as it turns out, you can definitely move vape juice between different tanks. However, before you do, read these rules so that you can go about it in the right manner.
Rule #1: Make Sure the Vape Juice You’re Transferring is Not Damaged
First, you want to make sure that the e-liquid you’re moving to new tank is in vape-ready condition. For one thing, if you shattered your vape tank, you don’t want to move that e-liquid into a new tank as it could contain small fragments of glass. Similarly, if your vape juice has become burnt due to a problem with your coil, this vape juice should be discarded.
Rule #2: Make Sure Your New Tank is Clean
Before you do the transfer, make sure that the new tank you’ll be using has been cleaned and has a fresh coil installed. Otherwise, your e-liquid may not taste so great, because it’s being combined with debris from the last e-liquid that you used with that tank. Simply take apart your tank and clean each piece carefully to ensure that it’s ready to go.
Rule #3: Never Transfer E-Juice Between a Standard Tank and Pod Cartridge Intended Solely for Salt-Based Nicotine
While you can transfer e-juice between tanks, you should never move e-liquid intended for sub-ohm vaping into a cartridge intended for salt nic vaping. Pod cartridges that are made for salt nic e-liquid are not compatible with freebase liquids, and so you’ll end up wasting juice in the end. Only use tanks that are compatible with freebase nicotine.
Moving Your E-Liquid Between Vape Tanks is Perfectly Fine
If you follow the rules above. We as vapers know that sometimes something goes wrong pertaining to our setup, and so in order to continue enjoying our vapes, we have to switch our e-liquid to a new tank altogether. Whatever the reason may be, simply use this guide to ensure that you go about it in the right manner.
